48 Earthquake Today Near Stockton Ca

**Two Earthquakes Shake Northern California on Thursday Afternoon** On Thursday afternoon, Northern California was hit by two earthquakes. The first, a magnitude 4.2, struck Plumas County near Belden at 6:34 pm, followed by a magnitude 4.4 tremor just 24 seconds later. The second earthquake, a magnitude 4.8, occurred near Farmington at 3:50 pm and was felt throughout Northern and Central California, including the Sacramento region. Residents of Visalia and the San Joaquin Valley also reported feeling the earthquake. The epicenter of the Visalia quake was located approximately 9 miles from Stockton. According to the Earthquake Event Page application, the magnitude 4.8 earthquake was located 6 kilometers northwest of Belden, California. So far, no significant damage or injuries have been reported from either earthquake. However, authorities are urging residents to be prepared for aftershocks.
