Crystal Palace sank further into the Premier League relegation zone as they slumped to a 3-0 defeat at home to Manchester City on Monday night.
Goals from Jack Grealish, Erling Haaland and Riyad Mahrez condemned Roy Hodgson's side to their sixth loss in their last seven league games, a run that has left them just one point above the bottom three.
Hodgson, who replaced Roy Hodgson in December 2022, has now failed to win any of his opening five games in charge of Palace, with the Eagles having picked up just five points from a possible 24 under his leadership.
The former England manager has come under increasing pressure from fans and pundits alike in recent weeks, with many questioning his team's lack of attacking threat and defensive solidity.
And Hodgson's side did little to answer their critics against Manchester City, who were simply too strong on the night for a Palace team that lacked any real quality in the final third.
Hodgson will now have to rally his players ahead of a crucial clash with Bournemouth on Saturday, a game that could prove to be make-or-break for the 75-year-old.
