Broncos Introduce Bo Nix, Top 2024 Draft Pick
Top College Quarterback Set to Lead Denver's Future
Nix Meets Media After First-Round Selection
The Denver Broncos held an introductory news conference on Friday for newly acquired quarterback Bo Nix. Nix was drafted by the Broncos with the 12th overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft.
Nix, who played college football at the University of Oregon, is considered one of the most promising quarterback prospects in the draft. He threw for 3,349 yards and 33 touchdowns in his final season with the Ducks, and led the team to a 9-3 record.
At his introductory press conference, Nix expressed excitement about joining the Broncos and said he is ready to compete for the starting job. He also praised the Broncos' offensive coaching staff, led by head coach Nathaniel Hackett, and said he believes the team has a lot of potential.
The Broncos are hoping that Nix can be the franchise quarterback they have been searching for since Peyton Manning retired in 2016. Nix is a talented passer with a strong arm and good mobility. He is also a leader on and off the field.
The Broncos are scheduled to open the 2024 regular season on September 8 against the Seattle Seahawks. Nix is expected to compete for the starting quarterback job with Drew Lock.
